Writing
What is good writing?
The above quote resonates loudly across the literary world. It means that good writing isn't necessarily lengthy. In fact, the best works in literature have been written, chewed-up, spit out, and re-written many times over. The best writing is concise and deliberate. Every word must have a purpose. If it doesn't, it need not be published.

Why hire a copywriter?
To ensure your brand is supported with concise, deliberate, well-written content.
I suppose the difference between someone who can write well and a professional writer is similar to that of any other profession. For example, I painted my living room walls and they look good, for the most part, but it's obvious the job wasn't done by a professional.
Copywriters provide more value than just proper grammar and punctuation. The following are also factors that make a big difference in professional writing:
Tone of voice
Legibility and flow
Searchability
Persuasiveness
Lack of redundancies
Consistency

Good copywriting is a sales pitch.
The main reason people hire a copywriter is to make sure they communicate everything they want to say in a professional, easy-to-read, persuasive manner.
These days, your online presence could make or break your business, and it is imperative that the information presented is not only accurate but also interesting. I help create a consistent tone of voice for your brand, ensure the copy flows nicely, and craft engaging, easy-to-digest content.
For example, when it comes to web copy, there are many things to consider. You will want to give your readers all the necessary information without overloading the page with too much text. It's also important to keep in mind that your customers will be viewing your content from a variety of different devices and your content needs to legible across all of them.
Consistency and legibility are also good reasons to hire a copywriter. For example, you'll want to make sure oxford commas are always used or not used at all. We know things like when to spell out a number and when to use a numeral so your copy is simple to read.

The method to the madness
A common misconception about writers is that we are able to produce exceptional writing by simply making things up from the top of our heads. While this might be true in some cases, there's usually a lot more to it. More often than not, we need a reliable source of information or subject matter expert(s) to create the narrative around. Below is a simplified glimpse into my process.
1. Research
Through a variety of methods, such as interviewing a source or researching existing materials, I will learn about your company values and identity.
2. Analyze
The research stage will help me gain a better understanding of your business's current position in the marketplace. We can then discuss what position in the marketplace you'd like your business to move towards and the audience you need to market to in order to get there.
3. Problem Solve
Once I have a clear idea of your brand identity, target market, and marketing objectives, I will craft compelling copy that speaks to your audience and supports the outlined objectives.
