Freq. Magazine
Although most of my writing projects are geared towards marketing and advertising these days, I still have a love for editorial content. Freq. Magazine is a local Calgary publication that covers the latest news and trends in music, arts, fashion, and culture. I've had the privilege and absolute pleasure of watching and helping this publication grow from an insert flyer to a quarterly, full-sized print piece to a jam-packed online magazine. I've written several articles for them and was also Freq's production manager for a time. There have been a few labours of love throughout my career and this was definitely one of them.

CUTTING THROUGH THE NOISE
Imagine you’re at a party and it’s the middle of the night. Music is blaring, people are dancing and the whole house, plus everything in it, is buzzing. That is until you step outside and close the door. Suddenly, all the music fades into silence, the crowd noise dissipates into a quiet hum, and you look up at the sky in solitude. In many ways, this solitary moment accurately portrays the overall feeling Odesza’s latest album, A Moment Apart, delivers.
